Critical Announcement from the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) in Turkey

Dear Students,

We would like to share a critical announcement from the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) in Turkey regarding the students who made online University registration in 2020.

The students who made their registration online in 2020 are expected to send their original high school graduation certificates (diploma)* and transcripts of records for each year of high school education* (both documents need to be wet-signed and apostilled) to TEDU by May 14th via diplomatic post of Turkish Embassies or Consulates in their home countries. Students, who already obtained equivalency certificate** in their home countries via the Education Attachés in Turkish Embassies, should also add this equivalency letter to the post. The Turkish Embassies and Consulates have already been informed by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) regarding these issues. Therefore, the only thing to do is collect the documents and submit them to Turkey's diplomatic representation in the related home country.

Students who will send their documents via Turkish Embassies and Consulates should inform us by e-mail before their appointment in Turkish Embassies/Consulates.

We regret to inform you that if you do not fulfil this requirement, your registration will be cancelled depending on the official decision of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK).

Post Information should be as below:

Passport Number: (Your Passport Number)

**Turkish Equivalency Certificate certifies that your high school education is equal to Turkish High Schools' education. This document is a must for university registration and can be obtained either in Turkey or through the Educational Sections of Turkish Embassies in home countries. High school documents must be apostilled in order to apply for this certificate.
