Call for Applications - 2024/25 Erasmus+ Staff Training Mobility

Dear TEDU Members,

Applications for the 2024-2025 Academic Year Erasmus+ Staff Training Mobility are starting!

Staff training mobility is the field of activity that allows a staff member employed at a higher education institution (HEI) which holds ECHE to receive training, new knowledge and new experiences at a partner university or organization/institution in Programme Countries (Member States of the European Union, North Macedonia, Serbia, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway).

Some examples of Erasmus+ training mobility:

  • Technical and administrative staff travel to a university abroad, to benefit from the partner institution's experience and good practice
  • Staff training weeks are organized at many universities. You will find an overview of some staff training weeks here
  • Training in a company or at a university (scientific staff or research in laboratory training, method courses, job shadowing for administrative-technical staff): IMOTION, ShipCon, Europass Teacher Academy
  • Language course

Staff must be officially employed full or part-time to participate in training mobility. Unlike teaching mobility, there is no need for an inter-institutional agreement between HEIs for training mobility. The staff must organize an exchange stay and a program in a company, organization or university. Staff mobility for training may be done at a partner university or an organization/institution that offers relevant training. Staff training mobility does not support seminar and conference participation.

A training period between two Programme Countries must last a minimum of 2 days and a maximum of 2 months, excluding travelling time.

Teaching staff can also carry out training mobility. However, administrative staff are given priority (+10 points) in applications.

To support more applicants, TEDU provides grants for a maximum of 7 days — subject to the available grants every year. The funded duration may change depending on the annual grant allocated to our institution. In most cases, the funded duration is limited to a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 5 working days, excluding travel days. The total funded duration is 7 days, including 5 working + 2 travel days.

The application period for teaching mobility is open from September 9, 2024, to October 4, 2024. During this time, you can apply for training opportunities in the Programme Countries that align with your expertise and interests. The training period abroad is available until July 31, 2025.
